Welcome

Welcome to the Sherwood Nottingham website this site was created to assist communities to communicate with their local beat manager, PCSO, other members of Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire City and County Council Trading standards departments and if you are interested in Neighbourhood Watch, your local Neighbourhood Watch coordinator.

The service is completely free to use, you can configure how and when you would like to receive communications and control who can send you information. You can also dictate the level of message priority that you are prepared to receive so you only get what you want, when you want it and only from the organisations you want it from. You will be sent information about crime trends, scams and problems in your area and occasionally you will be asked for information regarding recent crimes, accidents and what you local priorities are.

You do not need to be involved in a Neighbourhood Watch scheme to join Sherwood Nottingham but if you do run a scheme or are interested in starting one, this community site is designed to support you. The Neighbourhood Watch scheme was set up in the United Kingdom in 1982 to bring together volunteers to help prevent crime and to make their communities safer places to live. All Neighbourhood Alert powered sites are integrated with the Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network (England & Wales) charity which is recognised by the Home Office and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) as the official body representing Neighbourhood Watch in England & Wales.
